In today's world where meetings and sales calls happen mostly online, it's more important than ever to think about how to go about branding in the digital world.
Whether it's to boost engagement in weekly meetings or to make an impression on potential clients in an important sales call, you need a way to do more with Zoom.
Well, you're in luck because there is a free app on the Zoom App Store called SPX Graphics for Zoom to do exactly this! Let me show you how you can start using professional graphic overlays in under 3 minutes. Let's go!
Step 1. Add SPX
Inside Zoom, locate the Apps section and go to Add Apps
Search for "SPX" and you should find the app called SPX Graphics for Zoom
Click Get
Step 2. Open SPX
To test out the app, start a new call (it can just be yourself for testing)
In the toolbar, locate Apps and double-click on SPX Graphics for Zoom from the My Apps section
Wait a few seconds and you should now have SPX running with controls
If you encounter an error or it's stuck on the loading page, try updating your Zoom to the latest version, restarting Zoom, and/or restarting your computer.
And that's literally it! You're ready to start using SPX now. That wasn't so hard was it?
Step 3. Using SPX
Okay so now you should have the default UI open. Let's start by clicking on the little slider buttons on the right.
Yea, cool isn't it? Click on the sliders again to turn the graphics off. The button for Headlines should look a bit different than the other ones because this graphic has multiple steps. So try clicking on the next button to see what happens.
So now you know how to control the graphics, let's go in and customize it. Click on the Namestrap and you should now see the options for this graphic.
Go ahead and fill in your name, title, and company. Once you are finished, click on save and run the animation again. And there you go, you now have professional branding over your video with absolutely no effort.
SPX Graphics for Zoom is a unique application that is powered by SPX Graphics Controller, a live graphics software used by the biggest broadcasters and live productions around the world. We brought the power of a professional graphics software and built it right into Zoom so that it is accessible to everyone.
But this is just a small taste of what you can do with this App. For one, the looks of the graphic is determined by the chosen Base Layer which can be changed in the Settings tab. The free version comes with the basic Starter look and a modern Zebra look, but imagine the power of this application if you can bring your own brand identity into this.
That is why we offer our Branded Live Graphics Solution to brands looking to take their Zoom experience up a few notches. With this, our experienced creative team will work with your design team to create a Branded Base Layer that reflects your company's visual identity. In addition, there are multiple Enterprise specific features that will unlock the true potential of this App including:
All users in your company's Zoom account get the Pro version of the App, which includes access to features like Additional Layers to display meetings timer, Agenda, Image Carousel, and more.
Admin Panel to control and manage all member's graphics
Option to connect the same graphics to SPX Cloud, which allows you to use the same branded graphics in all of your live productions and digital events.
Okay, that was a lot to cover in one post but I hope you were able to at least add the app and try it out for yourself. I challenge you to use in your next meeting and I'll bet you an arm and a leg that your colleagues will be asking you "how did you do that?!?" And if they do, just go to the top right section of the app and click the share button so they can try it out themselves.
